Saint Jude is associated with hopeless and impossible cases, but what is true is that countless miracles have been attributed to his intercession. His reputation for the impossible is so great, that he is known among a wide variety of Christians for his miraculous intercessory power. Join us in praying this powerful prayer to Saint Jude everyday and invite others to join us! Most Holy Apostle St. Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases and of things despaired of. Pray for me who am so needy; make use, I implore you of that particular privilege accorded to you to bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired. I promise you, O blessed Jude to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen. Join the Three O'Clockers who do their best to pray everyday during the hour of Mercy (3pm) and also spread the devotion to the Hour of Mercy to everyone they can! (I set my alarm on my phone for 3:05 pm everyday so I never forget!) “At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world. I will allow you to enter into My mortal sorrow. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion…” (Diary, 1320). “…as often as you hear the clock strike the third hour, immerse yourself completely in My mercy, adoring and glorifying it; invoking its omnipotence for the whole world (…). In this hour you can obtain everything for yourself and for others simply by asking; it was the hour of grace for the whole world – mercy triumphed over justice (…) try your best to meditate on the Stations of the Cross in this hour, provided that your duties permit it; and if you are not able to say the Stations of the Cross, then at least step into the chapel for a moment and adore the Blessed Sacrament, My Heart, which is full of mercy; and should you be unable to step in to the chapel, immerse yourself in prayer wherever you happen to be, if only for a very brief instant. I claim veneration for My mercy from every creature” (Diary, 1572). The Three O'Clockers Prayer You expired, O Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and an ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You. Jesus, I implore your Mercy for all sinners, immerse me in your Passion especially your abandoment and mortal sorrow, also immerse me in your Mercy so I can adore and glorify it forever. You said you would refuse me nothing that I request in virtue of your Passion and in this hour I can obtain everything for myself and for others simply by asking. Behold I ask for all our intentions and that the whole world joins us. Amen St. Anthony of Padua is known as a miracle-worker. A countless number of people over the centuries have prayed to him in faith and have received a miraculous response to their prayers. This prayer to St. Anthony, “has never been known to fail, provided that the request is for one’s spiritual benefit or for those whom we are praying for.” It is important to remember God always answers our prayers. His response may not always be what we expected or wanted, but he always grants us exactly what we need. Join us in praying to Saint Anthony everyday! St. Therese, I will fulfill your plea "to be made known everywhere" and I will continue to lead others to Jesus through you. Amen. THE PRIESTHOOD IS A MASTERPIECE OF CHRIST'S DIVINE LOVE , WISDOM AND POWER. In San Damiano, Italy on August 14, 1965, Jesus Christ told Mama Rosa Quattrini, "Pray for the priests. Pray with might and do not cease praying, for the devil wants their downfall. Pray, My sons, you who are close to me." "One should NEVER attack a priest, even when he's in error. Rather one should pray and do penance that I'll grant him My grace again. He alone fully represents Me, even when he doesn't live after My example!" (page 29, Mutter Vogel's Worldwide Love, Saint Grignion Publishing House, Altoting, South Germany (June 29, 1929) "When a priest falls, we should extend him a helping hand THROUGH PRAYER AND NOT THROUGH ATTACKS! I, Myself, will be his judge, NO ONE BUT I! Whoever voices judgment over a priest has voiced it over Me; child, never let a priest be attacked, take up his defense" (Feast of Christ the King 1937). "Child, never judge your confessor, rather pray much for him and offer every Thursday, through the hands of My blessed Mother, Holy Communion (for him)" (June 6, 1939). "Never again accept an out-of-the-way word about a priest and speak no unkind word (about them) EVEN IF IT WERE TRUE! Every priest is My Vicar and My Heart will be sickened and insulted because of it! If you hear a judgement (against a priest) pray a Hail Mary" (June 28, 1939). "If you see a priest who celebrates the Holy Mass unworthily then say nothing about him; rather tell it to Me alone! I stand beside Him on the altar! Oh pray much for My priests, that they'll love purity above all, that they'll celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with pure hands and heart. Certainly the Holy Sacrifice is one and the same even when it's celebrated by an unworthy priest, but the grace called down upon the people is not the same!" (February 28, 1938) Prayer for Priests-St. Faustina Heavenly Father, grant that our priests be strengthened and healed by the power of the Eucharist they celebrate. May the Word they proclaim give them courage and wisdom. We pray that all those whom they seek to serve May see in them the love and care of Jesus, Our Eternal High Priest, who is Lord for ever and ever. Amen. Mary, Mother of the Church, look tenderly upon your sons, our priests. St Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, pray for us all. O my Jesus, I beg You on behalf of the whole Church: Grant it love and the light of Your Spirit and give power to the words of priests so that hardened hearts might be brought to repentance and return to You, O Lord. Lord, give us holy priests; You Yourself maintain them in holiness. O Divine and Great High Priest, may the power of Your mercy accompany them everywhere and protect them from the devil’s snares which are continually being set for the souls of priests. May the power of Your mercy, O Lord, shatter and bring to naught all that might tarnish the sanctity of priests, for You can do all things. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you save souls and take care of everything, especially our intentions and the whole world joins us! O Divine Eternal Father, in union with your Divine Son and the Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg You to destroy the Power of your greatest enemy - the Demons. Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain them there forever! Take possession of your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully yours. Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In you Most Holy Mary are the virtues and graces that make you terrible to all Demons and gives us the courage to Crush all the Demons in our Life! Saint Joseph, Terror of Demons, Crush all the Demons in our Life! Saint Michael, The Demon Crusher, Crush all the Demons in our Life! Saint Benedict, The Demon Chaser, Crush all the Demons in our Life! All the Angels and Saints, Crush all the Demons in our Life! I repeat this prayer out of pure love for Jesus, Mary and Joseph with every beat of my heart and with every breath I take. I also pray for all our intentions and that the whole world joins us! Amen Litany of Humility Prayers It is by humility that the Lord allows Himself to be conquered, so that He will do all we ask of Him (Saint Teresa of Avila). “Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues. Hence, in the soul in which this virtue does not exist, there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance,” said Saint Augustine (White Lily of the Trinity, 2009). My brothers and sisters, without humility all is lost. We need to be humble at all times, especially when we pray to our Father in Heaven. “Let us ask the Lord with tears, that according to His will, so He would show his mercy to us: that as our heart is troubled by their pride, so also we may glorify in our humility” (Jdt 8:17). My brothers and sisters, Saint Vincent the Paul said, “The most powerful weapon to conquer the devil is humility. For as he does not know at all how to employ it, neither does he know how to defend himself from it” (White Lily of the Trinity, 2009). As Blessed Teresa of Calcutta said, “Humility is the mother of all virtues; the virtues of purity, charity, and obedience. It is in being humble that our love becomes real, devoted, and ardent” (Filz, 2015). “Humility is to the various virtues what the chain is in a rosary,” said Saint John Vianney. “Take away the chain and the beads are scattered. Remove humility and all virtues vanish” (Catholic Tradition, n. d.). Saint John Chrysostom said, “Humility is the root, mother, nurse, foundation, and bond of all virtue” (Healing Philosophy, 2008). My brothers and sisters, humility is the glue that bonds all virtues. Do you know what is the root of all evil? Pride! When we start to think of our own importance, that is when we let our pride take hold of us and we let the root of evil into ourselves. Saint Vincent De Paul also said, “We must ask God to give us power to fight against the sin of pride, which is our greatest enemy – the root of all that is evil and the failure of all that is good. For God resists the proud” (Catholic Bible 101, 2016). As Saint Pio said, “We must always humble ourselves lovingly before God and before men, because God speaks only to those who are truly humble and He enriches them with His gifts” (Padre Pio Devotions, 2016). “Where pride is, there also shall be reproach; but where humility is, there also is wisdom” (Pr 11:2). Saint John of the Cross said, “To be taken with love for a soul, God does not look on its greatness, but the greatness of its humility” (White Lily of the Trinity, 2009). We need to pray for the grace of humility and we need to say this prayer often: Jesus, so humble of heart, make our hearts like unto yours. Saint Francis of Assisi said, “Every day, Jesus humbles himself just as He did when He came from His heavenly throne into the Virgin’s womb. Every day, He comes to us and lets us see Him in abjection, when He descends from the bosom of the Father into the hands of the priest at the altar” (Spoolstra, n. d.). Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary, related the following to Saint Faustina, “The soul’s true greatness is in loving God and in humbling oneself in His presence, completely forgetting oneself and believing oneself to be nothing; because the Lord is great, but He is well pleased only with the humble. He always opposes the proud” (Kowalska, 2005). “No man can attain to the knowledge of God, but by humility. The way to mount high is to descend,” said Blessed Giles of Assisi (Warner, n. d.). “Don’t permit your misery or defeats to depress you. Rather, let them be steps by which you descend the deep mine where we find the precious gem of holy humility,” said Saint Paola Frassinetti (Rose, 2015). “It was pride that changed angels into devils. It is humility that makes men as angels,” said Saint Augustine (White Lily of the Trinity, 2009). Saint José Maria Escriva (1963) said, “Humbly acknowledge your weaknesses. Then you can say with the Apostle: ‘For when I am weak, then I am strong.’” Join us in praying the Litany of Humility everyday! O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, Hear me. From the desire of being esteemed, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being loved, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being extolled, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being honored, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being praised, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being preferred to others, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being consulted, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the desire of being approved, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being humiliated, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being despised, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of suffering rebukes, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being calumniated, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being forgotten, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being ridiculed, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being wronged, Deliver me, O Jesus. From the fear of being suspected, Deliver me, O Jesus. That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be esteemed more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That, in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I may decrease, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be chosen and I set aside, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be praised and I go unnoticed, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may be preferred to me in everything, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you, save souls and take care of everything especially our intentions and the whole world joins us. Amen Thank you, my God, for that love for the Pope you have placed in my heart. ~St. Jose Escriva Prayers for the Pope pray everyday a short prayer for the Pope and invite others to join us in our prayers together so that the whole world will pray for the Pope everyday! Daily Prayer O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful, look favorably on your servant Pope Francis, whom you have set at the head of your Church as her shepherd; Grant, we pray, that by word and example he may be of service to those over whom he presides so that, together with the flock entrusted to his care, he may come to everlasting life. May all the Angels and Saints pray for him and protect him, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you, take care of everything, especially our intentions and the whole world joins us. Amen. The Devotees of the Shoulder Wound of Christ pray a short prayer in honor of the Shoulder Wound of Christ and invite friends and family to join in this devotion whenever they can. It is related in the annals of Clairvaux that St. Bernard asked our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering, and Our Lord answered: "I had on My Shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound, which was more painful than the others, and which is not recorded by men. Honor this wound with thy devotion, and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins, and will no longer remember their mortal sins." Daily Prayer O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee, and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you, save souls, take care of everything, especially our prayers and the whole world joins us. Amen. |
